Ernesto Díaz-Bastien and Sergio Berenguer were among the distinguished guests invited by the Institute of Probatology and Criminal Investigation (IPIC), which designs and markets training and postgraduate programs, to the First Course on Economic Intelligence held on February 5th at the School of Legal Practice in Madrid. The course provided business professionals with an overview of the importance of real assets in line with the economic significance of the value added by their R&D&I. Thus, course participants were able to understand the challenges posed by security and also the nuances in all its aspects. Led by various professionals (economists, lawyers, cybersecurity and communication network specialists, intelligence and counterintelligence experts, and psychologists), the participants explored the different areas that make up a company’s intangibles. Ernesto Díaz-Bastien gave a lecture on ‘Legal Framework and Legal Security’ and participated in the round table on ‘Global Security,’ which concluded the opening day of the course.
